Our Founder
My name is Dre. I am the founder of Blazin' Dre's. I enjoy working with my hands, obsessing over the details, and writing. A while back, I graduated with my big, fancy English degree, and now I use what I learned then to hone my storytelling skills in the present day. Everything I create has a story behind it that I work to communicate in its execution. Every scent and scene is authentic to me, my worldview, and the kind of life I want to encourage us all to make room for.
Day to day, I am driven by my desire to be the change I want to see, whether that means showing up for others on a personal level, putting my money where my mouth is, or shining a light on causes that are important to me. I am passionate about people and interested in their experiences.
Participating in social advocacy has taught me one important lesson: follow-through is everything. The systems we create should support both the work we do and the lives we want to live. My aim isn't to live efficiently, but to create more opportunities to indulge in life, and slow down enough to see the beauty in what we've already created.
That philosophy is at the heart of Blazin' Dre's. Blazin' isn't just about presenting a pretty product. It's an amalgamation of my values, preferences, the lessons life has taught me, and my desire for others to feel seen. We value quality products that are sourced ethically, curated with intention, and presented sustainably. It's not easy work, but it's always worth it.

Where It Started
My first personal experience with cannabis came during my undergraduate years. What started as curiosity became a deeper fascination, and the more I learned, the more I noticed how complicated our relationship with cannabis really is, especially within the Black community. Even as that conversation has started to change, I couldn't help but notice how often the rituals and practices associated with Black and other marginalized communities are misunderstood, downplayed, or treated as something to hide.
Beyond Cannabis
As cannabis became part of my own daily rituals, I started thinking more broadly about the rituals we create for ourselves. I wondered what it might look like to give them the same thought and consideration we give to other parts of our everyday lives. I was also frustrated as a consumer by how often the products surrounding these practices felt either too generic or too loud, forcing me to choose between design, functionality, and quality. I wanted pieces that could exist naturally alongside the things I already loved, not something I had to tuck away or hide.
Making Room for Life
I've always been drawn to daily rituals and the systems that help us stick with them. But I began to see those systems differently. They aren't just tools for getting things done. They can also help us create more opportunities to enjoy the lives we're building. That was part of the inspiration for Blazin' Dre's.

In our world, everything has a home. Blazin' Dre's creates design-forward home goods that give the pieces of our rituals a place to live. We believe the practices that shape our everyday lives deserve to feel good, look good in our homes, and reflect the people who use them. It's about creating space for curiosity, comfort, enjoyment, and the things that make life feel like yours.
